POPULATION ESTIMATION FOR A MULTIPLE ACCESS CHANNEL.

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

An estimate of the population (number of transceivers) on a shared multiple-access channel is considered useful for both flow control and traffic estimation. A set of estimator equations for population size are presented. Areas of possible application include the design of access protocols for mobile networks, local area networks, and satellite networks.
