Portable tools and applications for parallel computers

Abstract

A distributed‐memory model is adopted for the development of parallel ab initio codes with an emphasis on portability as well as efficiency. A highly portable message‐passing toolkit (inspired by the Argonne ACRF PARMACS) is described. Examples and results of its use are presented.
