Abstract
According to the VIENNA rectifier, the paper discussed its temperature rising and heat dissipation based on converter system as the research object, and has a converter for the further study of the power loss. Furthermore, this paper established a model to calculate the temperature of thermal equivalent circuit when it is in the steady state, and also solves the temperature rise' calculation problem. Finally, the cooling system of a single phase module of 5kW three phase four wire VIENNA rectifier is designed. To determine the cooling need of the converter by calculating the power loss and temperature rising. The cooling system is improved for reducing the temperature rising according to the temperature rise calculation, and be experimentally testified.
