Abstract

Within today's clinical applications of oral soft tissue surgery, different forms of laser types exist, for example, the CO₂ the Nd:YAG, the argon, the Ho:YAG, and the Er:YAG lasers. One of the different laser types should be used depending on different indications and kinds of tissue to reach the wanted effect on the tissue. In this paper, some applications of CO₂ and Nd:YAG lasers used within different soft oral surgical procedures showing the wide spectrum of indications of these laser types are presented.
