Abstract
Tests for the product and sum separability of multivariable functions are given. A product (sum) separable function is a multivariable function that can be written as a product (sum) of functions in disjoint sets of variables. Generalized Pade approximation is used to derive the individual functions in disjoint sets of variables in the case of a sum separable function.
