Abstract

This articles presents the study of the B_c meson in the B _c⁺→μ⁺J/ψX→μ⁺μ ⁺μ^-X final state, using 210 pb^-1 data collected by the D0 experiment. A combined lifetime and mass fit was performed to extract the number of B_c signal events and measure its properties from a sample of 231 candidate events. The combined fit estimates the mass to be 5.95_-0.13^+0.14±0.34GeV/c² and the lifetime to be 0.448_-0.096^+0.123±0.121ps.
