Abstract
Pain in the neck, low back, and limbs are common clinical complaints. Presentations may be acute or chronic with weakness and sensory loss. It is important to distinguish among those diverse symptoms that are related to radiculopathies and those that are not, and those that are emergencies. Distinctions can be reliably made through a thoughtful history and examination with help from carefully selected diagnostic tests. An orderly and efficient approach is presented to evaluate spine and limb pain.
