Abstract
This panel will present the different approaches for real-time acceleration for volume rendering, using either special-purpose hardware or commercially available systems. Alternative approaches for real-time rendering of 3D static and 4D (spatial-temporal) dynamic datasets will be discussed, and three different architectures will be compared.
