Abstract
In this paper, we present selected recent results at High Intensity γ-ray Source (HIγS) facility. The HIγS, based on the OK-4/Duke storage ring FEL, generates polarized γ-ray beams of unmatched quality and intensity. These features of the HIγS were used for a number of key experiments in nuclear resonance fluorescence, photo-disintegration of the deuteron, precise measurements of photon attenuation cross-section to mention few. We present the advances in HIγS performance illustrated by selected experimental results. We briefly discuss the up-grades of the HIγS facility.
