Abstract

The relationships among speech, vision, and action in collaborative physical tasks were discussed. The workshop focused on the nature of task objects, characteristics of collaborators, and characteristics of the work activity. Designing technological systems to support remote collaboration on physical tasks was challenging due to the complex relationships among language, visual information, and actions.
