Abstract
The replica limit of the Toda lattice equation was analyzed and expressions for the two-point function of the Gaussian unitary ensemble were obtained. Both the fully quenched and the partially quenched limits were taken into account. The derivation explained the appearance of both compact and noncompact integrals in the replica limit.
