Abstract
Ion-exchange chromatography on DEAE-Sephadex of a highly native preparation of plasma fraction IV, yielding a cloured distribution of the various components, is described. Recovery from the column of the differently coloured fractions can be achieved by elution, by segmentation or by a combination of both. Resolution and subsequent characterization of the various components in the separated fractions were accomplished by means of starch-gel eletrophoresis, immunoelectrophoresis and immunodiffusion with specific antisera. The separation of certain plasma components in fairly pure state was demonstrated.
