title = "Self-sustainable OFDM transmissions with smooth energy delivery",
abstract = "Circuits and systems to simultaneously transmit energy and information using orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) that obtain receiver energy self-sufficiency have recently been proposed. To obtain smooth, rather than bursty energy delivery which may lead to energy outage, this paper develops a new architecture for self-sustainable OFDM that reduces the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in the cyclic prefix through a novel frame-theoretic operation, similar to the erasure pattern selection technique. Numerical results demonstrate that this new approach outperforms prior self-sustainable OFDM techniques in terms of PAPR while maintaining nearly the same self-sustainability.",
