Abstract

This paper presents a discussion of the use of computer assisted instruction in the field of engineering education. The paper provides a comparison survey of characteristics of a sampling of commercially available software for authoring systems. The paper further provides a summary of future needs in authoring systems to implement computer assisted instruction in engineering education.
