Abstract

The reactions of 1,6-alkadiynes with tert-butyldimethylsilane under carbon monoxide pressure catalyzed by Rh(acac)(CO)2, Rh2Co2(CO)12, or Rh(C≡NBut)4-Cc(CO)4 give the corresponding bicyclo[3.3.O]octenones in good to excellent yields via novel silylcarbobicyclization process.
