Abstract
Problems with patient care “hand-offs” are a well-described issue. We developed an interdisciplinary educational program that included a creation of a video and high and low fidelity simulations designed to foster teamwork. The program involves senior anesthesia and pediatric residents in a 3 h session that highlights each specialty’s strengths. The session stresses the importance of proper hand-offs and its impact on patient care. We describe the program and offer some suggestions for curricular development.
