Abstract
Unsubstituted and Cu/Zn-substituted samples of YBa2Cu3O7-δ were investigated by Raman and IR spectroscopy, conductivity measurements and X-ray analysis for various values of δ. Both, oxygen deficiency and Zn substitution clearly increased the room temperature conductivity for small concentrations. Dramatic changes in the IR absorption intensities were used for improved vibrational mode assignement.
