SRS RADIATION INDUCED POLYMERIZATION OF 2,4-HEXADIYNEDIOL-BIS-(p-TOLUENESULPHONATE) (PTS).

Abstract

The degree of strain which developed in PTS monomer crystals during radiation-induced polymerization was determined. The defect structure of the monomer crystals was imaged and was shown to be retained in the polymer crystal. No evidence was found for any influence of dislocations on the polymerization process.
