Abstract
Rigidly supersymmetric nonlinear σ-models with non-vanishing Nijenhuis tensor are reobtained in a superspace formulation. The existence of such models is proven by explicitly constructing examples on group manifolds. The finite dimensional classical symmetry Lie algebra is investigated. The quantum algebra is studied by working out the operator product expansion and it appears not to close.
