Abstract
Teams play an important role in the formation, growth, and performance of new ventures, yet prior research in entrepreneurship has paid limited attention to the team level of analysis. Entrepreneurial teams differ from teams in larger organizations because they first operate in highly uncertain environments that stabilize as ventures become more mature. We extend the input-mediator-output- input (IMOI) model to investigate how teams' processes influence the performance of new ventures.
