The impact of weather on imitation: A grounded cognition perspective

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

This study argues that ambient environment influences imitation and moderates how individuals use another's characteristics in deciding imitation by eliciting a particular kind of cognitive processing, either heuristic or analytical. Using weather as the ambient environment, and the earnings forecasts of financial analysts as the task, hypotheses were generally supported.
