Abstract
In this article, I characterize the disclosure of the natural attitude by the epoché clarifying the difference between modes and modalizations of experience : through the special kind of moditification, in which the epoché consists, the natural attitude comes into view as such, also provoking the distinction between a 'naïve' natural attitude and a 'phenomenological' natural attitude. The religious dimension of experiencing, however, is irreducible to the natural attitude and its critique and so I explicate the tenor of the heart as the 'heart-attitude' to address specifically religious concerns.
