Abstract

This review article deals with some latest aspects of organosilicon compounds which were in used selective organic synthesis. Application of the electrophilic substitution of organosilicon compounds such as alkenylsilane, alkynylsilane and allylsilane is described with some emphasis. Organic Synthesis using Diels-Alder cycloaddition of silicon enolates is also included. The role of the silicon-carbon bond in these highly selective reactions will be disclosed.
