Abstract

Historically, in both surgery and interventional radiology, emphasis has always been placed on devices, instrumentation, routes of access, and means of exposure. However, in recent years there has been a growing awareness of the importance of intraprocedural pharmacology in the success of endovascular treatments for cerebrovascular disease. This chapter is an introductory primer on these critical therapeutic adjuncts.
