Abstract
The development of fast, automatic, robust and miniature wet chemical analyzers is critical for on-line, off-line and in situ quantifications of various parameters in ocean. In this article, the principles, configurations and applications of the conventional wet chemical analyzers based on air-segmented continuous flow and flow injection analysis are presented. The recent advances in the flow injection analysis technology are updated including sequential injection analysis, lab-on-valve, and programmable flow injection, as well as their applications in ocean.
